Are All Trucks Bad on Gas?

So you need a truck but you’ve heard that they’re the worst on gas.  Well I’m here to let you know trucks can get good gas mileage.  If you need a truck for moving equipment or even towing, there are many great options now.  A lot of trucks come with a v-6 engine if you don’t need it for heavy towing.  Some even come with a 4-cylinder engine, which mainly includes your smaller trucks like the Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado, and Toyota Tacoma.  These trucks are getting 25 miles per gallon.  Don’t fret if you do need to do heavy towing or just want a full-size truck.  The Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Dodge Ram have V-8 engines that can tow over 8,000 pounds each but when they’re on the highway can shift down to a 4-cylinder when not towing.  These “hemi’s” and V-8 engines can get 18-21 miles per gallon!  My 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 averages 19 miles per gallon!  I have a V-8 hemi and love my truck.  The gas is great for a full-size truck with a strong engine.  Don’t let gas miles be the reason you don’t get your dream truck!  Call We Drive and we can help you choose the perfect truck for your needs!
